Robert J. Spiak - Project Manager Rob
currently serves as Project Manager in the Orlando, Florida office.
Prior to joining
RJO’Connell & Associates, he served as a Branch Manager
for a large east coast engineering firm in their Fort Lauderdale,
Florida and Albany, New York offices. Primarily responsible for
the daily operation of the office for the firm, along with client and
project development including design, client contact throughout
projects, as well as detailed design management and overseeing
permitting of projects. Rob's area of expertise includes project permitting including
coordination/procurement of project approvals from zoning and land
development to building permits, for over 175 projects in New York, New
Jersey, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Vermont and Florida Municipalities. Specific design experience includes site planning, conceptual layouts
and traffic circulation, storm sewer design, sanitary sewer design
including gravity mains and force mains, stormwater management including
retention and detention systems, horizontal and vertical roadway
alignments, grading, preparation of construction details, earthwork
analysis, lighting and landscaping design, preparation of soil erosion
and sediment control plans, and other related engineering design.
In addition to preparation of construction plans, Rob was responsible
for all stages of permitting through local, county, state and federal
agencies. Rob is experienced in use of computer aided design programs including
AUTOCAD, Civil 3D, HydroCad, HEC-2, Flowcomp, and Excel. Rob has testified and represented Project Clients in over 100
municipalities before Planning, Zoning, County, City and Town Boards and
related municipal entities in New York, New Jersey, Vermont,
Connecticut, Massachusetts and Florida. Notable Clients include Wal-Mart, Target, Yum! Brands, McDonald's,
Wendy's, Kohl's, ExxonMobil, Cumberland Farms, Walgreens, CVS and many
others.
